20th Anniversary Scholarship Beautillion
June 13, 2020
Each year high school seniors participate in a series of interactive activities focusing on the preparation of young men for college and beyond. Under the guidance of DeKalb Mentoring Initiative, each senior (a Beau) share life learning experiences and take part in activities including a men’s retreat, community service, cultural excursions and enrichment workshops on topics such as Preparing for the First Year of College, Presentation Skills, Team Building, Money Matters, and Etiquette Training.
A very central part of the program is the provision of college scholarships. The Charles H. Wesley Education Foundation has facilitated the contribution of thousands of dollars in scholarships to high school seniors from across Metropolitan Atlanta.
Our formal Scholarship Beautillion is the culminating event in which our Beaux perform a formal rites of passage and publicly receive their scholarships. During the event, guests will be treated to a full course meal, formal dances, and awards presentations.
Proceeds from the gala benefit participants in the DeKalb Alphas Mentoring Initiative through the Charles H. Wesley Education Foundation.
We look forward to seeing you there!
