Purpose
Dr. Anthony B. Stinson was a dedicated educator whose passion for learning and commitment to student success left a lasting impact on his community. The Dr. Anthony B. Stinson Legacy Scholarship honors his legacy by supporting high school seniors who demonstrate high moral character, servant leadership, and a commitment to pursuing studies in Music, Education, and STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
● Be a Spring 2026 graduating high school senior (open to all seniors)
● Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
● Be admitted to an accredited four-year college or university for 2026–2027
● Demonstrate academic promise, leadership, community involvement, and high moral character
● Plan to pursue studies in Music, Education, or STEAM-related fields
● Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or community leader
Selection is based on merit and alignment with the scholarship’s mission. Financial need may be considered but is not the sole determining factor.
Award Details
A minimum of one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded each year, beginning in Spring 2026.
